Straight up I understand why people get to running into offices cutting off fingers n shit. People play TOO DAMN MUCH!!!! I mean why should i work hard as hell for my money n you think you can take it or not pay me for my contribution, and you just gone get over like a fat rat right in front of my face huh? Mmm. Oh my bad i’m having flashbacks,,lol. When i saw this article it resonated w me for a couple different reasons. Na u don’t have to be in the music business to understand this. Its simple mathematics. You don’t go to work n clock in everyday just so your boss can leave you in limbo about your paycheck right?  Well that’s the kinda shady shit, better yet  just one of the many shady things they try to do in this business of music. Thats why you have to have ur biz air tight,,so much fuckery involved. Royalties are a very important part of  the equation rather your a producer, writer, rapper, singer, label. So people get to acting like they dont know where shit is when its time to pay up and pay out. LOL.. Its like a unspoken rule in this biz get fucked over to fuck over the next person.. BULLSHIT! Anyway check out this article on Lil Wayne being sued for not paying royalites. Dont know whats true r false in this particular story, but lets just say 2 different producers who probably gave him his biggest hits to date “Lollipop” and “A Milli” are both suing him for royalties. I have to say that Herbie “luv bug” might be one of the most influential producers of all time, especially of the hiphop genre and in my opinion should def be mentioned among the elite. He discoverd  artist(A nR), made up the concepts, wrote the lyrics, and made the beat. Maybe not for all the artist but certainly for one of the most influential and biggest girl groups/rappers of all time, Salt n Pepa. Yes it was a MAN that brung us such great music with great social commentary from a womens point of view. Just to jog your memory or introduce to those who dont know, heres just a few.

He also brought us the likes of Kid n Play, Kwame, Dana Dane, Heavy D, Sweet T n more im sure. I just thought it was such a oxymoron that a man brought us such female empowering music. You have to give credit where credit is due. In this case i think its well overdue to Mr. Luv Bug as well as the best female duo n dj of all time Salt n Pepa n Spinderella. Kudos to you:)

Check out this article of Jay-z stating “I was a horrible performer” “Dmx had me really working hard” then went on to say he learned “if you want to be a headliner you better put on a headliner show.”  Its good to hear someone of his stature be vocal about the importance of stage performing. How its a certain level and quality you have to bring when your a headliner.
